Surfaces
Browsing is open
You can browse and download without creating an account. Sign-in is optional for account-related features.
Local preferences
Favourites, playlists, selected profile images and appearance preferences stay in this device’s storage in the current version. They are not automatically shared with another browser.
Optional sign-in
Email/password and Google sign-in use Firebase Authentication. An account display name can be stored in a private Firestore profile document. Surfaces does not keep a plaintext password in its app state.
Clearing wallpaper cache
The wallpaper cache control removes cached image copies. It preserves account state and local preferences. Browser or device storage settings can clear more data, so check what you are removing.
